Nearly 4,000 bricks and stones engraved with the names of Alumni Association members will shape the Alumni Walk, adjacent to the Alumni Association’s beautiful Alumni Gardens.
Alumni Association members may be recognized on the bricks or they may honor another member or deceased alum on one of three sizes of bricks:
All donations for the purchase of Alumni Walk bricks are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law. Please consult your tax advisor for specific amounts.
All inscriptions will be centered on the brick in capital letters (except for names that include a small “c” as in McCoy). There is a maximum of 15 characters per line, including spaces and punctuation marks as separate characters. Greek letters and symbols that appear on a keyboard may be used. All lines available need not be used—for instance, the family bluestone paver allows for four lines of copy with 15 spaces each, but a family may choose to use just two lines for their inscription.
Inscriptions may not include commercial messages, or company names. Discriminatory or inappropriate messages that refer to an individual or group’s age, ancestry, color, disability or handicap, national origin, race, religious creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status will not be permitted.
The Penn State Alumni Association reserves the right to deny any brick purchase application that is deemed inappropriate.
