Job Search Tools

Nittany Lion Alumni Career Network

Connecting alumni talent with employer needs through the power of the Penn State family is the purpose of Nittany Lion Alumni Career Network; Alumni Career Services is proud to include this Internet-based job board in our portfolio of services. Alumni can create accounts, browse employer profiles and job postings, post their résumés for employer consideration, and apply for available positions. Employers can create accounts, post job openings, review applicant credentials, browse alumni résumés (for direct hires), and invite qualified applicants to interview.

Nittany Lion Alumni Career Network accounts are password protected. All employers and job postings are reviewed by the Alumni Career Services office. The service is free of charge and alumni and employers can access the system at any time.

Career Fairs Intern at Career Fair

Alumni have a standing invitation to all career fairs. No registration is required. But if Penn Staters would like to prepare for the fair, they should contact the Alumni Career Services office for information and advice at or 814-865-LINK. Career Fair information can be found at

Alumni are welcome to use On-Campus Interviewing offered through Penn State Career Services.

Individual Appointments

Alumni may request an individual appointment, to be held either in person or by phone, for a variety of career-related issues including career decision making and career transition assistance. Many alumni use these services for assistance with developing the necessary tools for a job search including networking, résumé writing, and résumé critiques. These appointments can also help alumni identify professional strengths and interests.

Your first appointment is free. After that, there may be nominal fees charged for assessments and career assistance. During your initial appointment, your assigned career specialist will review all free and fee-based services available. Substantial discounts are available to members of the Penn State Alumni Association.

Please note that appointments typically occur Monday through Friday during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the latest appointment beginning at 4 p.m.  We are not open on Saturday or Sunday.
