Alumni Career Services offers a four session webinar designed to assist alumni in developing the job search skills they need to obtain a new position. Take time to master the tools of interviewing, resume writing, and networking that will help you to obtain your next job.  Participants will learn from a career expert in a once-a-week online presentation.

Effective Uses of LinkedIn

Improve your chances in the job market by learning how to maximize your profile and strategies for building an effective contact list. Learn about the benefits of LinkedIn groups and how to be viewed as an expert in your field. Strategies for initiating contact with high level people and using Penn State connections to your advantage will also be covered.

For Penn State Alumni Association members, there is no fee for the webinar. For non-members, the fee is $20. When registering you will have the option to join the Penn State Alumni Association if you are not already a member. Current fees for annual individual membership are $50/year and annual joint membership $60.

Improve your chances in the job market by learning how to maximize your strategies for effectively using virtual career fairs and virtual networking. Learn how virtual events work, strategies for initiating contact with potential employers, what to do before, during, and after the virtual events, and many other tips for successful participation.

Alumni CareerShape

Alumni Career Services offers an eight-week journey toward discovering what really matters most to you in your career. Gain understanding of your individual strengths and passions so you can develop goals and build a plan that will lead to greater career satisfaction. Participants will learn from a career expert in a once-a-week phone presentation; join with other alumni in optional online discussions concerning the presentation and related topics; use tools that will help you gain self and career understanding; and, take time for self-assessment and reflection that results in attainable career goals.
