Director, Human Resources

Statement: There could not be a more important time for me to again be a part of the Alumni Association and Penn State. The tragic events of November 2011 have weighed heavily on my heart, and I want to do everything I can to restore Penn State’s good name as an institution of academic excellence. For me, our good name is intact, but to the outside world, and among some alumni, the name is tarnished. We have our work cut out for us.

I hope to work with Alumni Council to continue the work it has been doing for decades, to continue to grow, to continue supporting our students, and to continue helping the University remain a top-notch academic institution.

As a two-time alumna, I have been very active for years. As founding president of the Penn State Schuylkill Alumni Society, I helped the society win an Alumni Association award in our second year. I serve on the advisory board of the Great Valley campus, and I served on Alumni Council for several years in the early 2000s. Nothing can diminish my devotion to Penn State, nor my desire to support the University and the Alumni Association through these difficult times. As a human resources executive, I bring knowledge of not only fair employment practices, but practices that help an organization be a place “of choice” for people to belong and support. I would like to bring that experience to Alumni Council to help us all move forward and succeed.

(Life member, Penn State Alumni Association; past member, Alumni Council; member, Penn State Great Valley Advisory Board; past president, Penn State Schuylkill Alumni Society; Career Coach, LionLink; mentor, FastStart; recipient, 2004 Philip Philip Mitchell Alumni Service Award)
