Steven Wagman ’82 H&HD
Blue Bell, Pa.
Vice President
Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc.
Statement: It is an honor to be nominated for Alumni Council, and I am seeking your support. I have been proudly serving the Penn State community at the University, alumni and student level, since graduation, deepening my involvement as my professional career has evolved. On a professional basis, I also serve as Siemens Corporation USA’s relationship executive to Penn State, as we look to build a long-term strategic relationship with the University.
My activities and involvement at Penn State have allowed me to gain a deeper insight and appreciation for the world-class university that we have become, supported by the largest alumni association in the United States. I have a passion to further establish the bond between the alumni and the students at Penn State. The alumni have so much to offer current students with personal involvement of time and the students now attending Penn State are incredibly bright, passionate about real societal issues and are the Alumni Association’s (not to mention the United State’s) future.
As the president of the Health Policy and Administration Affiliate Program Group, I led the establishment of the group’s Program Endowment, which yields revenue annually that helps to support student-related activities within the program. This is an example of how the alumni can work to support the overall student experience at Penn State in perpetuity.
It would be an honor and privilege to continue serving the University as a representative on our Alumni Council, and I thank you in advance for your support.
