Statement: It is an honor to be on the 2017 Alumni Council ballot. As a proud and loyal alumnus of our University, I would be privileged to help shape the future of our association.

I began my Penn State education at the Berks Campus. My two years there, before my transition to University Park, provided an opportunity for individual development and life-long friendships, confidence, and ambition to succeed both academically and professionally.

Throughout my time at Penn State, I was very active and involved in numerous organizations. Because of this, I built leadership, communication, and professional skills. My leadership roles in campus organizations gave me the opportunity to work with staff and faculty, gaining invaluable experiences that would not have come from the academic environment alone. I have continued to volunteer for the University as a member and leader, continuing to connect and expand our mission.

As a member of Alumni Council, I hope to enhance current and future members’ awareness of and involvement with the various alumni chapters. I would encourage the Alumni Association to further build upon its relationship with the student body. The sharing of experiences and networks will prepare students for their future roles as alumni. Stronger-than-ever relationships will be built, and all parties involved would benefit.

I greatly appreciate your consideration in voting for me for the 2017 Alumni Council. In return, I will continue to apply my passion for our University in directing the future of our association and its 176,000 members.

For the Glory!
