Statement: We each have a desire to be part of a community, to be part of something bigger. We were not meant to live life alone. As a service member, I have been assigned all over the world; and it is always comforting when I see a Penn State shirt, bumper sticker, or flag flying. These remind me that I am part of something bigger and, although the location may be new, I am not alone.

As an Alumni Council member, I will support ways to connect Alumni globally through continued development of alumni interest groups, affiliate program groups, and alumni societies that provide opportunities for alumni to stay connected with each other and the University in a uniquely personal and meaningful way. We are a diverse, global community. I want alumni to know you can go to a new place and be a part of a community where the benefit is a feeling of inclusion and relationship, a foundation to build friendships. That community is the Alumni Association.

I am part of a multi-generational Penn State family, and the University has been a significant part of our lives. My wife is a Penn Stater, and we look forward to our children following in our footsteps. I have seen firsthand the valuable role Alumni Council members play in making the Alumni Association a world-class organization. I would be honored to serve you on the Alumni Council. Thank you for your consideration.
