Brookville, Pa.
Director of Sales
Brookville Equipment Corporation

Statement: Today, I seek your vote to allow me to serve and give back to the University that had immeasurable influence on my adult life. Shaping the role of the nation’s largest dues-paying membership is a challenge I do not take lightly. I previously served on the Volunteer Support committee during my tenure as the DuBois Society President (2013–14) and now I ask for the opportunity to rejoin the Council.

Like many of you, Penn State provided me with a unique educational experience. I began the pursuit of my degree through five years of pencil-and-paper correspondence courses while stationed with the military, and completed my remaining 90 credits at the DuBois branch campus. Penn State refined my knowledge and talents into a marketable tool companies wanted. Now, everywhere I go, I am connected to the vast Penn State network through my career, friends, or at game day tailgate events. Yet, I believe there are improvements to be made in how our Penn State Alumni Association links alumni together.

I want to be an engaged alumnus where I may provide feedback from my experiences that may help our Alumni Association and school continue to grow and inspire others to do great things. My involvement with Distance Learning, commonwealth campuses, and community involvement can provide diversity to the Alumni Council and is key to its success. Penn State provides more than just an education, it provides empowerment to those graduates whom will influence generations of people to come.

For the Glory….
