Why Make a Gift?

A Photo of University House with gardens in the foreground.Over decades of visionary leadership from its governing board, executive leadership, and staff, the Penn State Alumni Association has realized its vision of becoming the biggest, best, and most ambitious dues-paying alumni association in the world. That ambition is fueled by a desire to constantly improve the quality and scope of the work we do and never to rest on our laurels.

Your investment helps shape the Penn State Alumni Association in countless ways. Whether you’re interested in supporting our student programs, adding to the beauty and longevity of the Hintz Family Alumni Center, or contributing to our Sustaining Life program, your donation can make a significant difference in our work, no matter the amount. Together, we will build upon our past and create new opportunities for the future.

Gifts are made that fit our donors' needs and desires. Many have chosen to give directly to specific Alumni Association program areas, while others choose to allow us to direct their support to the area of greatest need. Our Alumni Association simply would not be as strong as it is without our donors’ support.

For Our Students

A photo of the Hintz Family Alumni Center. The Alumni Association supports three active student initiatives that provide current students with the opportunity to shine with confidence and gain valuable preparation for meeting the world upon graduation. These include the Blue & White Society, the Lion Ambassadors, and the FastStart mentoring program.

For Our Programs and Events

More than any other organization of its kind in the world, the Penn State Alumni Association strives to provide myriad programs and events throughout the year that bring Penn Staters across the globe closer together.

For Our Capital Projects

A photo of the Hintz Family Alumni Center.Penn State’s alumni and friends are essential to the University’s future, and the Hintz Family Alumni Center is the bricks-and-mortar nucleus that needs preservation and care.

For Our Sustaining Life Fund

Equally important to the lifeblood of our Alumni Association are the funds that will support it well into the future. These annual gifts provide general spending funds to support our programs.

Add to an Existing Endowment

Some donors find it convenient to select an existing endowment to support.
