Will my @psu.edu student email get forwarded to the @alumni.psu.edu email, even after the University removes access to this account (6 months after graduation)?

Alumni Directory Questions
How do I use/search the Alumni Directory?
To search the Alumni Directory and use it to reach out to your former classmates, you must be a current member of the Penn State Alumni Association and be able to login to association’s web site. (Click here to create your username and password if haven’t done so already.) Step-by-step directions follow this brief how-to video:
1. Go to directory.alumni.psu.edu and log in, then click the “Search the Alumni Directory” button.

2. Enter “Simple Search” criteria, such as name and class year, in the search form.

At the bottom of the form you can proceed with the simple search, or choose Advanced Search, which includes additional criteria such as degree, campus, college or school, and major.

3. After you press the search button, the directory will return a list of possible matches.

4. Identify the person you’re looking for in the search results and click to open their profile.

If your search isn’t successful, try searching on only the person’s last name. Then choose “Modify Search” to go back and add more information to narrow your results. If you still can’t find the right person, they may have chosen to hide their profile.
5. To contact a person you’ve found, click the “Send an Email” link at the top of their profile. A pop-up window will let you compose a brief email to them. Enter the subject and text of your email in the appropriate spaces, then press send.

Your message and your email address will be sent to the person you wish to connect with. It will be up to the recipient whether they respond or not.
Can I look up other alumni if I am not a member of the Alumni Association?
No. Access to the Alumni Directory is a benefit of membership in the Penn State Alumni Association. However, all Penn State alumni, regardless of membership, are displayed in the Alumni Directory and are able to access their own profile to add information, update current information, and/or add a photo. Log into your Alumni Association account, then select “My Profile” to reach your information.Â
Where does the information on My Personal Profile come from?
Your personal profile information is pulled from Penn State’s official alumni records. To update your Alumni Association biographical record, log into the “My Profile” section and “Edit” your information, email alumni-address@psu.edu, or call 800-548-LION (5466). The new information you submit will be added into the database and will be displayed in the directory within 2-3 days.
What personal information is visible in my profile? How do I control who sees my information?
All alumni, whether they are Association members or not, can update their information and select what displays when someone accesses their profile in the database. Alumni also can opt to keep their entire profile hidden, so it does not appear when the directory is searched. You can select which information appears in your profile when people search for you. You can also set whether your profile appears in directory search results.
Why isn't my updated information appearing in my alumni profile?
Once you input your updated information, please allow seven days for the changes to be merged into the Alumni Directory. However, any “Hide Information” option you select will take effect immediately.
What if I don't want my alumni profile listed in the alumni database?
You can choose to hide your entire profile or specific parts of it. Log into your Alumni Association account and open the “My Profile” page, then choose the “Hide/Unhide Information From View” in your profile link. Please note that these changes will only block information from being displayed on the Alumni Directory and will not permanently delete this information from the official Alumni Records at Penn State.
Why wasn't my photo approved after I uploaded it to My Profile?
If an image is not of you or your family and you were unable to provide proof in writing that you own the copyright of the image, have permission to republish the image on this website, or the image is in the public domain, then the photo will not be approved. In addition, the Penn State Alumni Association reserves the right not to approve or remove any photo that it deems to be inappropriate for the Alumni Directory.
I just purchased my membership online, why can’t I see anyone in the Directory?
Memberships take 2 to 3 business days from purchase to process. Once your membership is processed in our Alumni Database, you will be able to access all benefits.
Why are people's actual email addresses not visible in the Alumni Directory?
This is a security feature to protect each alum from any unwanted use of their email address. One alum can still reach out and contact any other alum, but it is then up to the alum being contacted to reconnect and share his or her email address for any further contact.
