The Football Letter
Created in 1938 by Ridge Riley — known widely as “Mr. Penn State” — The Football Letter has since remained a valued member benefit for connecting alumni and fans to Penn State and the football program. Alumni Association members receive The Football Letter postgame email during the season. Beginning in 2020, a game day email was added, sent to all Penn Staters. Roar Tour
Fuel up on spirit and enjoy performances from the Penn State Pep Band, Nittany Lion, and Penn State Cheerleaders at THE place to be on the road this season. Plus, these events are official pick-up locations to score this season’s exclusive fan pin! This pin is one of three collectable designs available at select Alumni Association events throughout the year and are available while supplies last. There is no cost to attend, though registration is required. Doors open three hours before kickoff.
Friday Night Mixers
Penn State alumni across the country are ready to welcome you this football season!
Our Roar Tour Mixers are THE place to be the night before road games! Hosted in partnership with local alumni chapters and often including performances from the Penn State Cheerleaders, Nittany Lion, and Pep Band, this is the place for you to fuel up on spirit and connect with Nittany Lions on the road this season.

Chapter Watch Parties
Many of the Alumni Association’s more than 100 chapters across the country host watch parties during the football season. Association membership includes access to local chapters, so find your group and get involved!

S-Zone
The Alumni Association — with support from Lion Ambassadors and the Blue & White Society — helps create the best student section in the country, the S-Zone.
